As I begin this blog I thought it would be appropriate to tell you a little bit about myself.  So here goes:

A Man who is Unfinished

I wish I was, but I’m not.  I’m a guy who is in need of transformation.  Yes I have given my life completely to the Lord my God and have been saved from my sins, but I am definitely not there.  Romans 12:1-2 says:

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of the world,but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.  Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

A Man who Loves his family

God has blessed me with the best wife in the world.  Sorry if I’m a little biased, but I totally believe with all my heart that Karissa is God’s best for me.

God has also blessed me with two beautiful children.  Kaitlyn is 2 and Byron is almost 6 weeks.  As you can imagine life is a little crazy right now, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.  One of the greatest things in the world is coming home and having your daughter run into your arms or run away from you because it’s game time and she wants to be chased.  Both happen all the time.

A Man who wants to honor God with his gifts and abilities

1 Timothy 4:14 says, “Do not neglect the spiritual gift you received.”  God has blessed every believer with special gifts and abilities that are to be used to build up the church and make a difference in this world.  May it never be said that Tommy Morelock wasted his gifts.

A Man who Loves spending time with people

I am an extrovert by nature and desire being with people.  In a few weeks I am going to Chicago to hang out with a bunch of my friends from college and take in the opening weekend of March Madness.  It will be a weekend full of watching basketball, playing video games, catching up on life, encouraging one another in our faith, and times of complete random chaos.  It’s going to be awesome.

A Man who Loves sports

Sports have been a huge part of my life and will always be.  I will always support my Cincinnati teams (Reds, Bengals, Bearcats).  Yeah that even includes Xavier when they’re not playing the University of Cincinnati Bearcats.

I hope that gives you a little glimpse into the life of Tommy Morelock and some of the desires of my heart.
