Mexico Update #2 – By Landon Tilley 2

Jul5

Right now, we are already in Phoenix, waiting in the plane to take off again and get to San Diego. =D We are all, even already, getting to know each other better and form some new relationships. We’ve talked to a few people outside the youth group too; people have been curious as to what our church is doing. I even had the confidence to strike up a conversation with another drummer on the flight. We’re trying to be good models of the Christian faith, and so far God is really already working through us in a bunch of fantastic ways. The people we’ve seen so far are pretty intrigued, which is great. We’re learning things from God already too; he’s talking to us and helping us grow, and we’ve already grown through some “in flight devotions.” We can all also feel the excitement growing as we near Mexico, and are all having a blast. We’ll keep you guys posted still throughout the week. God bless you all, and hope you don’t miss us too much already. =) Be back soon.

Hey Landon (& company), You will be suprised at the little ways this Grandmother keeps up with you! LOL. I’m so proud of you. I’m excited about this mission and the opprotunity u have. It’s awesome. Praying 4 ur safety and for God’s guiding hand upon you and those who r w/ you. If u get 2 shop, buy ur Mom a bottle of Mexico’s famous pure vanilla extract in case she has a baking moment when u return. A missionary friend used to bring quarts of it home & I always shared w/ ur mom. Relax and have fun in the Blessed work ur doing. Mawaw Lewis

Hey Mawmaw! Great to be hearing from you; it gives me a lot of comfort to know you’re keeping up with the youth group and what we’re doing. I’ll definitely look for that vanilla stuff next time I have an opportunity to go to a convenience store. Thanks for letting me know. =) We’ll send you some pictures when we get back; this is impacting my life permanently, I would love to tell you about it sometime soon. It’s incredible the ways God can show himself more in the midst of poverty. Love ya! -Landon
