This year’s 30 Hour Famine is coming up really soon! Basically it’s an event where students go 30 hours without eating and get a taste of what the world’s poorest children and families face every day. Prior to the weekend, students raise funds with the knowledge that every $30 they raise can help feed and care for a child for a month.
This will be our 4th year participating in this event. Over the last 3 years our students have raised around $26,000, which turned into almost $111,000 because of the US government matching grant World Vision received. That’s enough money to feed and care for 123 children from 3 years. This year World Vision has received the same grant, but will be able to match everything donated by 10 – yeah that’s right 10! So every $10 turns into $100. Every $100 turns into $1,000 and so on.
Will you help?
